MISPRINT RESCUE - I think i deemed this a misprint because its a little off position, I think it's still beautiful, and the spiral black dye on a white shirt came out amazing, but be your own judge! These rescued misprints have had an imperfect journey to get to where they are, but they are beautiful and unique, just like all of us.

🪲We love bugs and beetles
They're so fascinating, and there are so many weird and wonderful species that really do exist. There is so much we don't know about insects and arachnids, my kid has loved catching them and looking at them since she was tiny, and she still does now. I feel so lucky that I was able to go back and look at these things through her eyes... reminding me how fascinated I was with them when I was a kid. I did want to draw a beetle, and I had presumed I would draw one that actually existed, but in the end this is what came out. I keep thinking that more of these are going to happen, and I have no idea when... but it seems likely... There are around 400k species in the world, maybe this one exists somewhere except on this shirt.

I am an artist who doesn't "love" visual art. I would never go to an art gallery, never look at an art book. I know nothing of other artists, or their work. Aphantasia means I have no visual memory, and it's hard to love something you can't remember. I LOVE drawing, it calms my head like nothing else, and I do like the pictures I make, but I can look back, even just a couple of days in my sketchbook, and have absolutely no memory of the picture there. I only really make art for the love of making it. They are intense, and scrappy because they have to be, I can't come back to a picture because as soon as I turn away, I forget it exists. So when I start, I have to finish before I lose concentration. Because for me, drawing is the point, not the pictures. If other people like it, I consider that an honour.
